Dr. Steven Wegner
Originally from Fremont, Nebraska, Dr. Wegner completed his undergraduate studies in 1975 and went on to achieve his DDS degree at Creighton University in 1979. He and his wife, Terri, have two children, Aaron (daughter-in-law, Brooke) and Megan (son-in-law, AJ), and five grandchildren.
Dr. Wegner is committed to a life of service. He is a volunteer for “Give Back a Smile,” a program to provide better smiles for women victims of domestic violence. He has traveled to Mexico, South Carolina and Florida on mission trips with Yucatan Presbyterian Ministries and Habitat for Humanity. Dr. Wegner served in leadership positions at his church, assisting with confirmation and Senior High Youth Group activities and serving on the Board of Trustees.
Along with his dedication to community, Dr. Wegner values his commitments to the dental community and his personal continuing education. He has invested thousands of hours in postgraduate education in dentistry and has completed numerous prestigious programs in general dentistry. In 2005, Dr. Wegner earned his Mastership – the highest honor that can be achieved in the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2011, he was awarded his Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition from the Academy. Only three dentists in Nebraska have earned this level of achievement.
Dr. Wegner has advanced training in surgical dental implant placement as well as bone and soft tissue grafting. He can not only place dental implants, but also restore them to give you the confidence to smile and chew comfortably again. He and his team have attended state-of-the-art programs in cosmetic dentistry across the country. Together they can provide a beautiful smile that will exceed your expectations. Dr. Wegner now teaches dentists, their teams and lab technicians how to create these same beautiful smiles for their patients.
